My practice spans photography, photogravure, and film/video, with these disciplines often converging in my work. While my art is rooted in reproduction, I express my interest in surface and texture through a direct, tactile approach. A key principle in my work is the juxtaposition of obsolete and emerging technologies, influenced by my training as a film archivist which has installed in me a profound appreciation of forgotten or discarded materials.

This ethos extends to my environmental concerns, as I see parallels between the preservation of cultural artifacts and the urgent need to conserve our natural world. By bringing new life to these discarded materials, I aim to highlight the beauty in what is often overlooked or considered “obsolete,” whether it be a forgotten film reel or a threatened ecosystem.

My work ultimately encourages a mindful consideration of our impact, asking viewers to reflect on what we choose to preserve and what we allow to disappear.
